Sorry for the lack of updates, but things have been really hectic for me lately. I came back from my Japan Trip a few weeks ago. Although this trip wasn't as good as the 2nd trip from 2007, I still had fun nonetheless. A lot of things didn't go according to plan, and I only took about 170 pictures. A typhoon hit the next day after I arrived in Japan, so things were hectic at first. I even spent a couple of hours in the rain at Ueno Zoo trying to have some fun. Anyway, today I'm going to be doing some updates to the site here and possibly to the board as well. I will update things again when they are done.

Also, on November 22nd between 1AM and 7AM, the site will be down for maintenance. Sorry for any inconvenience that this will cause. Thanks.

Well the mouse that came with the computer I bought over 2 years ago is finally shot. It didn't help that I kept dropping it on the floor and little by little it was getting less usable. Now I'm having to use MouseKeys until I can get another mouse. I noticed that there was a cut in the wiring so maybe that had something to do with it as well -- I don't know how it got there.

Anyway, here is my plan for Japan:
October 5, 2009 = Leave for Japan
October 6, 2009 = Arrive in Japan around 2:30 in the afternoon
October 6 to 9, 2009 = Stay in Tokyo
October 10 to 16, 2009 = Stay in Osaka (I will be going to Osaka, Nagoya, and possibly Kobe)
October 17 to 20, 2009 = Stay in Hiroshima (Ehime-ken will be included in this as well.)
October 21, 2009 = Tokyo stay again (since I will be coming from Ehime, I want to give myself enough time to get back to Tokyo)
October 22, 2009 = Return to the US

I will do my best to get the pictures from this trip on the site. I plan on taking about 500 pictures this time around -- I plan on going to a lot of places. Who knows when or if I'll be going again.

Not realizing it, the 2,000th day that NFF has been opened has already passed. I only thought about it the other day because I knew it was coming up. Even though there is nothing going on, I try to visit as much as I can to make sure no havoc is going on, haha. But seriously though -- I still don't have plans to shut this place down. Even though I have no time to updates things around here much, I think I can muster enough time so that I can give you updates about what's going on with me.

In 24 days, I will be going on my 3rd trip to Japan. I'm pretty excited and hope that this time I can make a lot of friends. I don't have Mixi anymore (they kicked me out, and I never found out why), so I'll have more time to study and get things ready for my trip.

I turned 32 years old a couple of weeks ago, and I think time goes by faster and faster as you get older. If I want to be a translator, I better step it up and get things going before I'm 40!

I've been trying to get my studies caught up so I haven't had time to update the site as much as I would like. I am planning another Japan Trip in October of this year and this time I will be staying for 16 days. Each time I go, I'm trying to make it better than the time before. :) As far as the site goes, I will have time to add something on here maybe today or tomorrow. I wish I had more people here, but what can you do, hmm? >_>

This version of the site will hopefully allow me to put more things on the site here. Here's what I plan on putting in:

-- Hiragana and Katakana (stroke order will be included as well)
-- Stroke order and readings for all 1945 JOUYOU kanji
-- over 10,000 vocabulary words and their meanings and sample sentences
-- Grammar
-- 四字熟語（よじじゅくご=YOJIJUKUGO) 4-character idioms (I hope to put in about 100 to 200)
-- Pictures from my Japan Trip in 2007 (I have about 150 to put up here)
-- Quiz sections

The menus will be easier to navigate and hopefully I can at least update something on this plan everyday. I plan on putting more than this on the website, but this is the just the main part of the site plan. I will put up a progress bar soon on how I'm doing.

There are only a handful of themes on the site here that actually work. There's an error which causes the theme to not be shown -- I am currently investigating this. Until this is corrected, please only use the default theme. I will keep you posted if I have any more updates. The default actually looks pretty nice and you can choose between blue, green, and red for the colors.

I'm still getting used to the new version of php fusion here so sorry if updates are little slow. :)

Already, the main site has 1,000 unique views -- I imagine it's from the amount of spambots viewing the site. With the amount of cool content I plan on having on this board in the near future, I'm hoping the amount of views are going to skyrocket. :)

Just now I managed to install the new version of php Fusion 7 -- it looks a lot nicer and easier to navigate than version 6. Bare with me a few days while I get everything back to the way it was before. :)
