| The Server Move |
|
Unfortunately, the server move (while vastly improved), caused a few problems here and there. I'm still working them out. But as for the main site here: For some reason when you type in the URL (just nihongofreak.com, nothing after it), it won't go to index.php or news.php. But if you type those in, it will go to it. So for now, we'll deal with that until I can figure out why it won't go to index automatically. Sorry about this guys.

| The Christmas Theme |

I have now added the Christmas theme to the site which I grabbed from the Fusion theme site. This will be the default theme until Friday, December 28th, 2007. That's all the news for right now -- I will try and add more things later on. Happy Holidays to you guys!! :)

| Updating/Testing In Progress |

Right now I am testing and updating some things to the site. If something doesn't work while you're browsing, it will soon be fixed momentarily.

| 1st Grade Kanji Started |
 Well, in an effort to speed up the process of getting things done on the site I have worked on 20 of the 1st Grade kanji. You may notice the link now available with the yellow  tag next to it. I will keep this here for 48 hours. If I don't update anything in that section after that time, I will delete the tag -- that way you will know whether something has been updated in that section over the last 48 hours or not. Each kanji section will be subdivided into groups of 10. Each of those groups will have its own status indicator red, yellow, and green. Eventually I will use the NEW tag on these links as well. The quiz sections can be accessed from here as well. I will start on those later. I will also make the kanji clickable so that you can see the stroke order of that kanji you click on. This will be a lot of work, but I will try and get at least something for you guys everyday. We'll see. :) In the meantime, enjoy the kanji already uploaded.

| Pictures Uploading Started |

I have started uploading pictures from this year's trip into the photo album -- I will probably do this at a rate of 10 to 20 pictures a day until they are all uploaded. That's all the updates for today.

| Different Things |
|
Man, it has been 7 months since I made any kind of updates to this site. Don't worry, I'm not dead, just very busy with life and such. From October 23 to November 2, I was in Japan again and it was the most fun I have ever had. I met my penpal and her and I spent 2 1/2 days together doing different things and going out for meals. I miss her a lot. Anyway, I'm going to be uploading about 200 pictures into the gallery here soon. I'm also planning on changing the forum system to phpBB3 as well. Acmlm is no longer active, but perhaps people will be more willing to join phpBB than AB since that is a board they know more. phpBB runs better, looks better and overall is better. I plan on putting an arcade, item shop, and Japanese Quiz sections in there. I'm afraid I won't be able to do that with AB and I really want to get that stuff in there for you guys. Anybody have any kind of suggestions on what else you want in there, please let me know. Right now, I'm going to be spending time testing phpBB3 and uploading pics from this year's (and maybe last year's as well, huh?) Japan Trip.

| This Weekend |
|
Well, this weekend is going to be pretty busy for me because tomorrow (later on today, lol) I have some applications to drop since I quit my old job. I also have to get my last paycheck from my previous employer as well. Saturday, my brother is getting married -- it should be pretty exciting. Sunday, we're all going out for a meal, so yeah, it will be pretty hectic this weekend for me. I will try to squeeze in an update tomorrow but updates should resume on Monday, April 30th. :)

| Wow, An Update! |

Well, I have actually updated the site somewhat. I have added the hiragana and katakana characters sets for Part 1 of the Japanese language section. Any questions on this, you can ask on the board itself, or you can leave a comment on the pages themselves. Also, I am going to be starting to work on the Numbers section and input kanji into those sections starting tomorrow. I will be putting in about 10 to 20 kanji in a day until all 1,945 JOUYOU kanji are uploaded. Eventually I will be planning on adding animated GIFs for each of the kanji. Hopefully, this is a going to be trend and stuff will get added on here on a regular basis. >_>

For some reason, the index page was deleted out of here and nobody could access it. No one had complained about it -- I found out on my own. Anyway, this has been fixed now.

| Working On Site Again |
 As of now, I am going to be working on getting the site back to the way it was. I'm hoping that I can do a better job this time.
